The students at Esperance Primary School have been encouraged to look for colour in the world after creating a colourful Hugging Tree at school.

The knitting club along with Chaplain Christine knitted and french knit creations to wrap around the tree outside the library. Some students were even able to add pom poms to the masterpiece.

It was a community effort to wrap the tree in so many knitted creations with community members giving their knitting to the club to add onto the tree.

"As you can see by the photos our tree is very colourful and a wonderful reminder that if you look for colour in your world, you will find it, sometimes in the most surprising places," said Chaplain Christine.
