Every YouthCARE Chaplain brings a special set of qualities and skills to their role.

Some are talented sports men and women, writers, photographers and musicians who use these skills to connect with students on their schooling journey.

Mitch Williams is the chaplain at Spencer Park Education Support Centre in Albany and has a passion for music. He regularily plays the guitar at his church and on occasion brings it with him to work.

A teacher recently captured a moment of pure delight between Mitch and a student as they played their guitars together in the playground.

Logan, the student photographed also has a love of music and spends a lot of time playing music at home with his family.

This is just one way that Mitch supports and encourages the students at Spencer Park Education Support Centre. He also runs the Rock and Water Program with the students to build self-control, self-confidence and self-reflection.

Mitch has been supporting the students, staff and school community at Spencer Park Education Support Centre for over 6 years.
