Strengthening Partnerships

Swan Hills YouthCARE Support Network held their launch on Saturday Afternoon at Saving Grace Church in Midvale.

Swan Hills YouthCARE Support Network held their launch afternoon tea on Saturday Afternoon at Saving Grace Church in Midvale.

The new entity brings together three previous YouthCARE Councils to consolidate and strengthen partnerships that support chaplaincy in the Swan Hills region.

The Support Network heard from Chaplaincy Services Team Leader Darlene Herbert about YouthCARE and guest speaker Peter Freeman, Principal at Moorditj Noongar Community College about how valued chaplaincy is in his school.

Local chaplains Fiona Langley, Jon Ramirez and Sally Messenger also shared stories about chaplaincy in the area.

Many people from the local community came to support the launch with school staff, local church pastors and chaplains among the attendees.

Thank you to all of the previous YouthCARE Council representatives and executives from Eastern Hills, Swan and the Beachboro/Lockridge areas.
