Many local churches and community groups knit KYAL or 'Know You Are Loved' bears to support schools and chaplains.
Paul Stokes was one of the grateful chaplains to receive a delivery of bears that could be used to support his students.
On that same day, two siblings were experiencing a sad and difficult time in their family. They were delighted to be given these beautiful, colourful teddies. The younger one took an extra teddy to give to her mother in the hospital.
It was a very tangible way to show support and comfort them in their time of need.
Paul said since then, other opportunities are eventuating to enhance his role as a chaplain, compliment school support programs, and share these tokens of love provided by our churches.
